- Increased Steam Costs: Boiler tubes are responsible for transfer of heat from combustion chamber to water. These tubes are made of special metals which are good insulators thus makes sure the energy retrieved by burning the fuel reaches water without losses. However , over time a layer of fuel deposits over the tubes’ internal surface walls. These layers absorb the heat which is generated by heating the fuel. Thus, higher amounts of fuel is needed for meeting energy requirements.
- Frequent Maintenance : The temperature of these layers of deposit increase during operations which exceeds the temperature of the boiler tube. These leads to damage in the boiler.
- Overheating: As the layer of deposits attracts and stores heat, it leads to overheating of the boiler equipment parts overtime. If left unnoticed, it takes a toll on boiler efficiency.
